The GTA General Staff has sent us an alert email about the theft of two touring aircraft.

You may have heard in the media at the start of the year about the "borrowing" of 2 aeroplanes by a young trainee pilot in unusual circumstances.

At the end of January 2018, the young Nicolas Retailleau (19 years old) stole two light aircraft from the aerodromes of Loudin (Vienne) and Cholet (Maine-et-Loire) in order to make a night flight.

A judicial investigation is under way within the Air Transport Investigation Section (GTA), with a judgment expected in August 2018.

He appears to have psychological problems and suicidal tendencies.

Recently, Nicolas Retailleau tried to enrol as a trainee pilot at the flying clubs of Lognes and Toussus-Le-Noble.

FFPLUM therefore wishes to alert all club and school managers and club presidents, so that they remain vigilant if the person concerned contacts them and pass any information on to the authorities.
