The FederationThe institution
Ensuring the well-being of everyone in microlighting, protecting members and building a culture of ethics in affiliated clubs and schools: preventing violence, and knowing who to report it to.
Prevent
Like the whole movement and all the players in French sport, the FFPLUM wishes to guarantee everyone’s well-being in sporting and recreational microlight flying, to protect members in their activity and to develop ethics across its various affiliated microlight organisations.
Approved by the Ministry of Sport and holding a public service delegation, the federation is responsible for preventing harassment and violence, and for ensuring a safe setting for those who fly, learn to fly or instruct.
We are all concerned. The federation's awareness-raising actions are aimed specifically at:
Violence can take many forms and all of them must be fought. It can involve force and threats, but also:
Managers and supervisors
The FFPLUM regularly carries out integrity checks on its officers and instructors. In practice, this means consulting the national automated judicial register of perpetrators of sexual and violent offences (FIJAISV) for all instructors and certain officers who are FFPLUM members.
Its purpose: to identify, among the members, those who are not allowed to act as instructors or officers, and to make sure they are removed from those roles.
Report
Because microlighting is built on respect, solidarity and trust, every report is taken seriously and followed by appropriate action, so that everyone can fly in a safe setting.

Anyone: the victim (or their legal representative if they are a minor), a witness, or a close friend or relative they have confided in. Member or not.
All forms of violence, as long as they are connected with microlighting (club, school, training, airfield, course, gathering, competition):
A report remains confidential: only authorised people know about it. Depending on the facts, the federation may take protective measures, start disciplinary proceedings and, where the facts justify it, refer the matter to the public prosecutor. Where the facts involve an instructor or an officer, the Signal-Sports unit of the Ministry responsible for Sport is informed.
