Intellectual property

The site and each of its elements (texts, logos, photographs, videos, documents, layout) are protected by copyright and trade mark law. They belong to the federation or to their authors, who have authorised their use. Unless stated otherwise, the photographs are those of the federation, its affiliated clubs and schools, and its members.

Texts may be reproduced on paper, in particular for teaching, on three conditions: free distribution, documents reproduced without any change, and the source clearly credited (“document from the website of the Fédération Française d’ULM, ffplum.fr”). Any other reproduction, in particular in electronic form, requires the written consent of the publication director.

Airfield data comes from BASULM, the federation’s airfield database; base maps come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence).

Links

The site links to other websites (government services, partners, clubs) whose content the federation does not control. Linking to ffplum.fr is free, provided its pages are not displayed inside another website and no partnership is implied where none exists.

General terms of use

These terms apply to anyone who visits the site or uses its services. Using them means accepting them. The federation may change them to keep up with changes to the site and to the regulations: the version online, with its date of last update, is the one that applies.

Access to the site

The site is free to access, except when interrupted for maintenance or by an incident. The information it publishes is provided for information only: it replaces neither the official texts (Journal officiel, Légifrance, DGAC), which alone are authoritative, nor the advice of an instructor. The federation cannot be held liable for a decision taken solely on the basis of the site.

Forms

Contact form, REX safety report, question to an expert, feedback on the site, newsletter sign-up: everyone undertakes to give accurate information and to publish nothing unlawful, abusive or defamatory, nor anything that infringes the privacy of others. Texts intended for publication (REX safety reports, FAQ questions) are reviewed and anonymised by the federation before they appear; it may refuse or withdraw them.

Classified ads

  • Free service, no account needed: your email address is verified with a confirmation link. Your licence number is requested (“Member” badge), unless the federation opens the ads to everyone.
  • The ad must concern an item or service related to microlights and light aviation, genuinely available, honestly described, with photos to which the advertiser holds the rights. Unlawful, counterfeit or dangerous items are prohibited, as are ads unrelated to microlights.
  • Each ad is reviewed before publication and stays online for 60 days, which can be extended. It can be withdrawn at any time by its author, or by the federation if these terms are breached; three reports send it back for review.
  • The advertiser’s email address is never displayed: messages are relayed by the site; the phone number is only shown on request, if one was given.
  • The federation takes no part in the transaction: sale, condition of the item, payment and delivery are settled between the advertiser and the buyer, under their sole responsibility. An aircraft for sale must come with its regulatory documents.

Member area

It is reserved for members of the federation: access is granted after the licence number has been checked, with a login link sent by email (no password); the session lasts 7 days on the device. Members-only content (documents, consultations, exchanges with the federation) is personal and must not be shared outside the area. The federation may suspend access in case of misuse.

Challenge France 1

The competition is reserved for members logged in to the member area. Each participant uploads the GPS track (IGC file) of their own flights, flown in compliance with air regulations and the challenge instructions; they remain solely responsible for the conduct of their flight. Flights are scored automatically and then validated by the federation, which may reject a doubtful track and disqualify in case of fraud. Published rankings show the pilots’ surname, first name, club and score. The rules of each challenge supplement these terms.

Site account

The “My account” account is opened with a login link sent by email; the session lasts 30 days on the device. It is deleted after 3 years without a login.

Online assistant

When it is open, the assistant answers automatically from the site’s pages and the knowledge sheets validated by the federation, using an artificial intelligence service (Mistral AI, France). Its answers are for guidance only: the regulations and an instructor’s advice prevail. Questions about flight safety, health, aircraft or airspace are passed on to a federation expert. Do not enter health data or information about other people.

Shop

Purchases are governed by the shop’s general terms and conditions of sale, shown and accepted before any order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any action; failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction.

Personal data and cookies

How the federation processes your data is described in the privacy policy; what the site stores in your browser, on the Cookie management page. For any question: ffplum@ffplum.org.
