Inclusive

Opening up microlighting to everyone: people with disabilities, young people, women.

  • Handivol

The Handivol division encourages microlight flying among people with disabilities, supports clubs in welcoming them and offers help and advice to pilots. Long centred on three-axis microlights, “adapted piloting” is widening to include the paramotor trike and the powered aerostat.

  • Youth

The Youth division presented the "Parcours jeune plume" project and the feedback from the first Youth Microlight Tour (Tour ULM Jeunes) to the presidents of the regional committees (November 2023 seminar). For trainees under 25: the Youth Pathway (Parcours Jeunes).

  • Defending airfields

For problems of access to aerodromes and other local issues, the presidents of the regional committees are often the best people to talk to.

  • Amateur building

Recognised as a discipline by the Board of Directors in January 2022: about 3 000 amateur-built microlights, nearly 1 800 of them three-axis. The federation supports the design, construction, upkeep and maintenance of airframes and engines.
