News from 9 July 2018. It has not been updated since it was published: some information may have changed. Latest news

The 8th edition of the GYROPLANE and ROTARY-WING MEETING organised by the Aéro–Club ETM was a great success, helped by excellent weather.

gyro treportThe aim of this event was to bring together as many aircraft enthusiasts as possible (gyroplanes and rotary-wing aircraft), but not only! They turned up and came from Nantes, Amiens, Belgium….

We recorded more than 60 gyroplanes, 3 helicopters, three-axis microlights, weight-shift microlights and a few aeroplanes. Of course some friendly clubs were the first to respond and came with top-of-the-range gyroplanes.

The day's programme included exchanges between enthusiasts, pilots and the public, aircraft trials, introductory flights (gyroplanes, helicopters, aeroplanes, weight-shift microlights…), a refreshment bar, catering with a live band, and even a live big-screen broadcast of the World Cup round-of-16 match between France and Argentina.

The organising team pulled out all the stops!!! And spared no effort to make sure flying-machine enthusiasts were satisfied.

Safety was there too. Circuit guidance by radio and on the ground was handled masterfully. No incident, even a minor one, disturbed this magnificent day.

In conclusion, by everyone's account, this meeting delighted the pilots, the public and the organisers.

Many thanks to the pilots who kindly shared their passion with us

To be repeated!!!!
