The 17th Women Microlight Pilots' Gathering took place from 24 to 26 July 2020 at the Levroux microlight strip (LF3624).
From Friday, the aerodrome welcomed the first microlights, crewed mostly by women pilots who had come from every region of France despite uncertain weather over the weekend.
A busy programme was offered and run by the volunteers of the club ULM les ailes motorisées. On Saturday morning, the briefing led by Enguerrand Laveur and Pierre Laneurit let the pilots discover a circuit of remarkable sites in the region.
The opening ceremony welcomed many officials, notably representatives of Levroux town hall, the Indre departmental council, the Centre-Val-de-Loire regional council and the Indre departmental directorate for social cohesion (DDCS).
The afternoon was devoted to a visit to the Château de Bouges, a true replica of the Petit Trianon at Versailles.
The dinner was organised around a local group blending Berry dance and folk music.
One last bit of navigation planning before setting off again on Sunday, and a date for next year at the 18th Women Microlight Pilots' Gathering!
