In a difficult context for everyone, the Chambley microlight club is already thinking about organising events for the better days ahead. Among them, the “Grand Est” discovery project planned for next year over Ascension weekend!
With our remarkable facilities at the Planet’Air airfield in Chambley, we are fortunate to be able to launch events with the Regional Committee. It is therefore with great pleasure that we announce today a “Grand Est Discovery Weekend” over 4 days for Ascension from 13 to 16 May 2021!
The idea is to organise a weekend discovering the region in a star pattern, with a different route each day starting and finishing at Chambley. Each morning, 4 groups of around fifteen machines will be able to choose from four routes, different each day (Alsace, Marne, Ardennes and Champagne). An "Aérodej" breakfast stop will be planned each day at about an hour's flight from Chambley, before continuing on a scenic flight to a designated club that will provide lunch. The afternoon will consist of a scenic return flight to Chambley. In the evening, a dinner bringing together all the crews will be organised.
The 4 groups and the 4 outings will be organised according to the capabilities of the different machines registered. We plan for accommodation in tents or gîtes, showers and fuel on site, no equipment to carry between stages, no groups too large to manage, and suitable for three-axis microlights and gyroplanes as well as weight-shift… Clubs interested in hosting the “aérodej” stops or the lunches can already apply! The routes are currently being studied.
