Club life: trainees welcomed at head office and in our clubs

In these troubled times, the FFPLUM and regional clubs have opened their doors to year 10 pupils (troisième) to make their work-experience placements easier. Two pupils were able to spend a week at the Federation’s head office and three others at the Chambley Microlight Club.
Aware of these difficulties, Georges HUMEAU, president of the Chambley microlight club and president of the Based Aeronautical Users of Chambley aerodrome, managed to pool the synergies of the aerodrome’s various organisations to offer three pupils a week’s placement at the Chambley base. The requests of 3 middle-school pupils from different schools in the Region were accepted (Thiaucourt, Verny and Contrexéville).
Each day, they discovered a different activity and the careers that can be linked to it: hot-air balloons, aeroplanes, microlights, aircraft mechanics, aerial photography and running an aerodrome. A superb variety, giving them an overall view of aviation.

Two middle-school pupils were also able to do their placement at the Federation’s head office. They discovered the work done by each of the employees: accounting, communication, legal, insurance and administration.
We can be sure that their placement reports will be well filled.
This more than successful initiative should be repeated in the coming years.
