Your regional committees are getting involved in 2022 to organise rallies. This is notably the case in Occitanie and Grand Est, which are both holding their regional rally from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 May 2022. The Normandie Regional Committee is also holding its rally on Saturday 18 June 2022.

2022 Occitanie Microlight Rally

The Occitanie Microlight Rally will take place from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 May 2022. After gathering all the participants at Montauban aerodrome (LFDB), you can fly as you please to discover the Occitanie region from the sky. No route is imposed. The total length of a route will depend on each person’s wishes. The essential thing is that all pilots meet at Montauban aerodrome to share friendly moments every evening.

Evening meals and breakfasts will be provided for one crew per day. Lunches will be either picnics or, by reservation, at a designated airfield.

Montauban aerodrome has been chosen as the central point of the Occitanie Rally. Accommodation is left to each person’s choice: your own tent, or a hotel or gîte in the town of Montauban.

The contribution requested is 130 € for single-seat crews and 260 € for two-seat crews. You can send your cheque to Mr Eric LE PEN, 30 rue des Tournesols, 82170 Grisolles.

Est’Capades

The Grand Est Regional Microlight Committee offers pilots from the region and beyond the “Est’Capades ultra légères”, a microlight rally consisting of 4 discovery routes (Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne, Haute-Marne and even neighbouring regions), starting and finishing each day at Chambley aerodrome (LFJY). The number of crews is limited to 4 groups of 15 machines and it runs over 4 days, usually on the Ascension weekend. Each group flies one route a day. Each morning, departure from the central point to a strip that will provide breakfast, then a sightseeing flight, lunch at another strip, and in the afternoon a flight over tourist sites before returning to the central base. In the evening all crews get together to share dinner.

The fee is 240 € for the pilot and 160 € for the passenger. We preferred this model because it may encourage pilots to bring a passenger. The fee includes meals (lunch and dinner), breakfasts, use of the facilities (camping, WC, sanitary facilities, etc.) and, if needed, recovery of the machine in the event of an off-airfield landing.
