Pass'Sport renewed for young people
The Pass'Sport has been renewed for the 2022-2023 season. The Pass'Sport is a financial aid of 50 euros, deducted immediately from the cost of club registration (membership and/or licence), rolled out to enable young people furthest from sport to commit to lasting sporting activity within a club. Last year, more than 1 million young people benefited from the Pass Sport.
As a reminder, this individual, non-transferable, single-use aid can also be combined with other existing support schemes. Taking account of feedback from the various parties involved in its first edition, the process has been simplified in three main areas for the 2022-2023 season:
- Simpler for the beneficiary, thanks to a single Pass’Sport code to give to the club when signing up and an online Pass’Sport portal with key information on the scheme, a map of affiliated organisations and aid, etc.;
- Simpler for the sports organisation, which will enter the young person’s unique code to be reimbursed;
- Simpler administration, thanks to a single reimbursing third-party payer, the Agence de services et de paiement, and a dedicated interface that lets organisations track reimbursements. The Pass’Sport currently covers:
- Young people aged 6 to 17 who receive the back-to-school allowance (ARS);
- Young people aged 6 to 20 who receive the disabled child education allowance (AEEH); young people aged 16 to 30 who receive the disabled adult allowance (AAH);
- Students aged 28 or under who, by 15 October 2022 at the latest, receive a means-tested State higher-education grant, an annual CROUS aid or a regional grant for health and social care courses for the 2022 – 2023 academic year.
In all, 6,6 million children and young adults are concerned. To sign up, the beneficiary presents their individual Pass’Sport code to the club, which applies the 50 euro deduction directly. The club enters the code in its LCA (LeCompteAsso) account to obtain its reimbursement. If the registration fee is less than 50 euros, the club is not required to refund the difference to the family but undertakes to ensure that it benefits the young person (e.g. a club T-shirt, equipment needed for the activity, etc.).

Since 2 September 2022, the portal https://www.pass.sports.gouv.fr has allowed eligible young people and families in particular to retrieve their code if they did not receive it by email or if they have lost it. Please note: students on grants will receive their code in October 2022. As well as a full presentation of the scheme and a link to the map of eligible organisations, which grows daily, the portal also provides federations, local authorities, schools and the media with a set of resources: communication tools and materials, scheme monitoring data, etc.
