YOUTH MICROLIGHT TOUR

On the human side, some fifty volunteers were needed to make it run smoothly, not forgetting the support of the DGAC with staff and equipment, and the help of sponsors.

After the break imposed by the Covid health situation, we want to bring back the TOUR ULM in a new format, more respectful of the environment and with new objectives.

We are proposing a TOUR ULM aimed at young people and for young people, a sort of "summer university". They are the future of microlighting.

We wanted to mobilise more people in the regions in order to continue developing the sport through meetings and exchanges with clubs and local players: reaching out to the regions and clubs, promoting the areas overflown and highlighting local initiatives.

It is also about passing on aeronautical values and experience through intergenerational crews. Young people will be able to fly together, supported by an experienced pilot or an instructor involved in the project.

The intended format will be even better suited to the need to promote respect for the environment and to place microlight flying in an ecological approach, with lighter logistics and a low environmental impact.

And of course, to gain fuller aeronautical experience and improve flight safety for beginners and experienced pilots alike.
