Back to Saint-Rambert, last flight over the Vercors
Friday 29 July
The Tour ULM 2016 is over! Mild weather, except at the start, no accidents, superb scenery and varied navigation, and a good atmosphere on the Tour: serene and relaxed! What more could you ask for? This last flight over the Vercors was superb.
A big thank-you to my pilot, with whom I have been writing this blog for a few years, my friend Alain Catalan. We like being together, it works well. Congratulations to Louis Collardeau, who successfully took on the heavy responsibility of flight director. Congratulations to Pierre-Henri Lopez, who carries this Tour with all his energy. The list of our partners is long and well known. I would like to single out the DGAC, and in particular the Mission Aviation Légère Générale et Hélicoptère, which has been our faithful ally on this Tour for years. It is a magnificent team, very attuned to the diversity of recreational aviation.
Tour pilots who would like to put their photos or videos online should create public galleries, which we will link in the blog comments below.
Finally, if you happen to come across these lines and images without knowing microlight flying and with a desire to fly, then walk through the door of a club! You will discover a varied and joyful kind of aviation.

An unforgettable memory for our disabled pilots, who are already dreaming of the next one ... Thank you to Françoise and Alain, the "adapted flying" committee, for their support of our work and their dedication.
See you next year?
Kind regards
Can't wait for next summer

I take the opportunity to send a little wink to the weight-shift pilots. Even more than in 2015, I felt a real joy in flying together ;-). I think we form a real family.
I also greet all the three-axis, gyroplane and helicopter pilots. I hope everyone had a good journey home.
Marielle and André. Despite what happened to you, we hope to see you again on a future tour.
Well done to Sébastien for the blog. I know people who followed it and enjoyed it very much

The best tour? What we say every time, and it never fails.
One thing is certain: the next generation is well and truly here!
Thank you Sébastien, Louis, Pierre-Henri and your whole team. The weight-shift pilots also thank you for the little attentions paid to them, slipped in during the briefings.
Welcome to the Ecrosnes base (28), which could never host the Tour but will always be big enough for you.
Best wishes.
Didier
Like in the days of the Aéropostale, we carried the mail of flying happiness together from town to town.
Sportingly yours
I warmly thank everyone involved in this wonderful adventure, who work hard for us all year to give us a real week of escape and true friendship.
I urge all those who hesitate to take the plunge; we all come out better after every TOUR.
My seventh tour will remain a strong memory of my life as a microlight pilot.
Well done LOUIS, you were really on top form; the ovation on the last evening showed that all the pilots appreciated your performance.
Long live the TOUR, long live microlighting.
Best wishes.
Patrice
the Houville LF 2851 pilots are very pleased with this tour 2016
See you in a year!
See you next year for more fine adventures.
Microlight greetings from the Haut-Artois.
Kind regards
Excellent accounts and lovely photos, thanks to Sébastien for letting us live this tour as if we were there.
Is it nearly 2017 yet???
