The Microlight World Show, international air sports and leisure aviation show

As we announced at the last edition of the Blois show in 2019, the Loir-et-Cher Department and the French Microlight Federation agreed that the federation would organise the Mondial de l’ULM in 2021.
In 2021 the federation will be 40 years old, almost the same age as the Blois show. Alain Dreyer, the federation's founding president, has agreed to be the patron of this Mondial.
We hope this new format will create a new dynamism around four priorities.

The first is to bring together the whole microlight family, exhibitors and pilots alike, in particular by bringing paramotors back with the creation of a paramotor village where flying will be possible for everyone. Beyond microlighting, all recreational aviation activities will be welcome: from free flight to model aircraft, from certified aviation to amateur building. We will create a trade day on the Friday.
The second priority will be to give this Mondial back an international dimension, so that visitors can meet new manufacturers from Europe, the United States, China and all over the world. The renewal of ultralight flying and a return to a certain simplicity are a clearly noticeable trend everywhere in the world.
The third priority is to make this Mondial a celebration, with three days of entertainment for an event that should bring people together beyond aviation, with music, cinema, and local cultural and sporting players.
Finally, the Mondial de l’ULM must bring together the formidable pool of innovation that ultralight regulations allow worldwide. It is mainly through ultralights that the most lasting answers to environmental constraints can secure the future of our activity. The key is to show it well!
Lastly, we hope that over the long term and beyond the World Show, the Federation's presence at Blois aerodrome will allow a federal sports centre to be set up: a place for training, instruction and maintaining mechanical skills, combined with a dimension of our aeronautical heritage, while also being an open place for innovation and meetings.
You are all welcome: pilots, non-pilots, professionals, amateurs, the simply curious. All ideas are welcome, and all energies too, with our historic partners and others, for ultralight flying without borders.
The definitive World Show website will of course be put online.
