The “Air Sports Festival 2020” will take place all over France from 2 to 17 May.

Air sports, like all sports, are about passionate people.

And what could be more natural for passionate people than wanting to show others their passion and share it?

That is the purpose of this second edition of the “Air Sports Festival”: to give a whole audience and all these potential participants the chance to touch the dream of Icarus, and to get close to the activity or activities that could change their lives.

Since 2018, the CNFAS has coordinated this scheme.

At a large number of sites, the various air activities will go out to meet the public, with simple open days organised by clubs or more complex events where several disciplines can come together.

The public will be able to take introductory flights, watch air displays, see static displays of various aircraft or enjoy any other event.

Beyond promoting all air sports to the general public, our aims are also to highlight the cultural, sporting and social aspects of our activities by fostering "living together", exchange and sharing between disciplines at shared flying sites, and by collectively reaffirming the importance of recreational aerodromes and our flying sites in bringing life to local areas.

Each organiser will choose and adapt to the organisational and regulatory arrangements that suit them best, so that the Air Sports Festival is a success that will continue over the long term.
