Making a successful return!

The weekends and the fine days ahead mark the real return to flying in a very particular context. If we want to regain some normality in the coming months, we have to get it right.

As we announced in the statement of Wednesday 13 May, on the legal side the Federation and its lawyer will support you, provided you undertake flights that respect our reading of the decree of 11 May, our ethics for resuming flying and in particular:

  • The health measures
  • Local flights
  • Excluding introductory flights

Rest assured on this point. A protocol covering all forms of transport may be published by then, but it must be understood that it is a text of very general scope in which our activity is marginal. It is also understandable that in such an uncertain context there are publication delays or a lack of synchronisation. That has not stopped driving schools from reopening, nor trains from running. So no one should be blamed, and we should think about what comes next, that is, the period after 2 June, being pragmatic and responsible, and following the rules, and only the rules, as they are and as they apply. We will do so in a strategy agreed with the CNFAS.

Making a successful return!

Let's focus on the essentials: "flying for pleasure" for all pilots with our instructors and club and company managers. The Federation supports you with a REV+ bonus raised to €60 for a Return to Flying with an instructor. We have produced a whole set of materials to get back to the fundamentals of flying and mechanics. Organisations and instructors will receive "protective covers" that were sent out yesterday. We will adjust the quantity according to demand.

Since lockdown began, the whole federation team has communicated very intensively to defend and promote our activity as best we can. In this first phase of resumption, we will now communicate regularly every 15 days, and whenever necessary if we have special information.

Look after yourselves. Enjoy yourselves, we need it, in strict compliance with the health rules, so that everyone's behaviour benefits all.

More than ever, it's simple! It's microlighting!
