Clarifications on the use of the radio

A few clarifications from the Paramotor committee on the use of the radio in microlights and therefore in paramotors.

What about the radio in paramotoring?

Using a radio when flying is simply a responsible and safe choice.

Where no airspace is defined, the airspace is class G.

An aviation radio is in no case compulsory for flying a microlight, and therefore a paramotor, in class G airspace.

Warning: some airfields located in class G airspace require the use of a radio.

For aviation radios, an aircraft station licence (licence de station d'aéronef, LSA), which issues the F-J--- identifier, is essential.

Head of the Paramotor Committee
