The association Les Vieux Déb's, after giving Patrice Franceschi's Sirocco a light overhaul, delivered it on its final journey to the aircraft Pantheon… the Musée du Bourget!
"Do you know Patrice FRANCESCHI?
The pilots of the early days of microlighting certainly do, but the younger ones from 25 years ago, I doubt it… Anyway, it would take too long to keep it short: just search his name on the internet and discover his many sides and adventures. All you need to know for today's subject is that Patrice flew around the world in a Sirocco microlight between 29 September 1984 and 26 March 1987. Yes, it took a long time, but with no glass cockpit, no GPS, no satellite phone, no ground support, with the original fuel tank and at an average of 85 km/h!!!

After many wanderings, Patrice Franceschi's Sirocco (including a long period in storage at the Delta museum next to Orly airport, which, incidentally, has lost a large part of its facilities and had part of its heritage destroyed in deplorable conditions) ended up stored in the technical premises of the town of Athis-Mons, where Patrice asked us to meet him to take charge of his aircraft, give it a thorough clean while leaving it as it was, and then deliver it to the Musée du Bourget, where it will have the place it deserves as a witness to an exceptional adventure and where it will be protected for good."
