Air Sports Festival

News2 May 20181 min read

News from 2 May 2018. It has not been updated since it was published: some information may have changed. Latest news

It starts this weekend!

The Air Sports Festival 2018 will take place all over France from 5 to 13 May 2018.

Air sports, like all sports, are about passionate people.

And what could be more natural for passionate people than wanting to show others their passion and share it?

That is precisely the aim of this first edition of the "Air Sports Festival": to give a whole audience and all those potential participants the chance to touch the dream of Icarus and get close to the activity or activities that could change their lives.

The CNFAS coordinates this scheme, in which, at a large number of sites, the various air sports disciplines will reach out to the public, whether through simple open days organised by clubs or more complex events - possibly under the regime of an air display open to the public - where several disciplines can come together. The public will be able to take introductory flights, watch flying displays, see static exhibitions of various aircraft or enjoy any other event.

Beyond promoting all air sports to the general public, our aims will also be to highlight the cultural, sporting and social aspects of our activities, by encouraging "living together", exchange and sharing between disciplines at common sites, and by collectively reaffirming the importance of leisure aerodromes and our flying sites in bringing local areas to life.

Happy Air Sports Festival, and see you soon on all our airfields from 5 to 13 May to showcase our activities!
