FFPLUM supports one of the last French manufacturers of high-performance, genuinely microlight three-axis aircraft: Aéroservices Guépard, the microlight made in Occitanie.
At 15, Jean-Daniel Roman flew at Villefranche airport and obtained his pilot's licence. Then microlights arrived and the passion never left him. After setting up his own flying school, in 1993, at the urging of a friend, his first two prototypes came into being. Since then the company has built 240. There are now only four microlight manufacturers in France, two of them in the East and the North. The only one in Occitanie, Aéroservices Guépard relies on its reputation for quality and its after-sales service. The aircraft are designed with aviation-certified materials and specially made parts. From the seats to the composite materials and the fabric covering, every element comes out of their workshop. To do this, the company head is helped by an argon welder, José Molina, and by Jean-Michel Razou, who for his part takes care of fitting the engines, while his two sons Anthony and Loïc also contribute.
