This single dress rehearsal before the 14 July flypast will allow all the aeroplane and helicopter formations of the three armed services, the national gendarmerie and civil protection to practise flying past along the runway axis at the Châteaudun site in conditions close to those of the big day, and also to build cohesion between the formations.
The flypast will be coordinated on the ground by a command, control and coordination post headed by the flypast commander, Major General Vincent Cousin.
The formation-leading pilots of the Rafale, Mirage 2000 and Alphajet, as well as all the helicopter pilots taking part in the flypast, will be available for interviews afterwards.
For weather reasons, this rehearsal may be postponed to 27 or 28 June.
