Towards Abbeville, a summer coastline

News24 July 20181 min read

News from 24 July 2018. Last updated on 25 July 2018: some information may have changed. Latest news

Monday 23 July evening

Flights resumed around 4 pm after a long break in the heat. We very quickly reached the sea with England in sight and the Opal Coast route we know well from the Tour ULM: Dunkirk, Calais, Cap Blanc Nez, Cap Gris Nez, Boulogne, then around the Le Touquet zone before heading for Abbeville. Perfect weather with a threat of a sea breeze that stayed at a safe distance. We were met by a left crosswind that did not disturb the rhythm of the landings, made either on the hard runway or on the grass runway.

We are in Abbeville for two nights with a long rest day, filled with excursions and short local flights.
