Saturday 8 September 2018 - Saint Paul de Fenouillet (66220) - Microlight strip LF6652
By the latest count, at least twenty machines will be present for this Envolée Cathare 2018, not counting of course the unregistered pilots who are free to decide at the last minute, which is normal.
The weather forecasts appear to be excellent (calm wind, clear sky), as the screenshots confirm:
Go to the Meteociel.fr website
(In the event of bad weather, the Envolée Cathare would possibly be postponed to the following Saturday (15/09/2018) under the same conditions...)
To speed up organisation and to let you prepare your navigation, you will find HERE the map of the main Cathar castles near the Saint-Paul de Fenouillet LF6652 microlight airfield, available for download on the Agly Club ULM website.
For those registered for the photo safari over the Cathar castles, it is advisable to arrive before 10 am.
Some have chosen to come the day before and camp under the wing (singalong around the campfire! bring a guitar)...
Bring your own packed lunch (yours, not your neighbour's... so there is no obligation to come if the weather is bad!). Remember to bring cutlery!
(A shuttle to the village can be arranged for those who would prefer a meal at the snack bar or restaurant.)
We have empty jerrycans if you want to refuel (we will take you to the card-operated pump at the local supermarket)
This is not a competition: stay relaxed, but be focused and attentive in flight.
A friendly, relaxed atmosphere is the rule at the airfield!
The Agly-Club-ULM covers the cost of the welcome (coffee and croissants only for early birds landing before 10 am, soft drinks and a midday snack), water and coffee. Bring your own packed lunch and eat under the club hangar or under the pines.
