Medical Certificate of No Contraindication
Obtaining the Medical Certificate of No Contraindication to flying microlights (CMNCI)
When applying for your first licence, you must hold a medical certificate issued within the last year by a doctor registered with the French Medical Council or a doctor from the European Community, certifying that there is no contraindication to flying microlights. This is in no way an aeronautical medical examination, and every practising doctor of medicine, in particular family doctors, is entitled to issue this certificate.
Note that general aviation medical certificates issued in the European Community, Class 1, Class 2 or LAPL, replace the CMNCI provided that their expiry date covers the current calendar year.
If you apply online for a first federation licence, for your membership to be validated you must send the following to the FFPLUM head office within eight days:

• either the original medical certificate of no contraindication issued within the last year at the date of entry
• or, for general aviation pilots, a copy of a valid DGAC Medical Certificate
If you are applying by post, simply enclose one of these certificates with your licence application.
Competition
For taking part in competitions, the medical certificate is annual and must state "in competition"
