Breakage insurance: information for clubs and schools

Insurance2 April 20201 min read

Our microlights are all grounded.

This situation is blocking our activity and endangering the cash flow of everyone involved in developing our sport. Associations, clubs, schools, OBLs and companies are particularly affected by this exceptional situation.

Our broker Air Courtage has approached the damage insurers and tells us it has obtained from our federation TPL insurer AXAXL one-off measures for the benefit of these organisations.

- On written request, AXAXL will accept a payment extension of 30 days for the breakage insurance on these clubs’ and schools’ microlights

- Also on written request, AXAXL plans to give a 60% discount for the suspension of in-flight cover if the official lockdown period exceeds 30 days. This discount will be deducted at the renewal date of this breakage insurance. To date, AXAXL plans a refund capped at 2 months, but the door is not closed...

Please note that these measures are subject to a few conditions, including no claims and no payment disputes. Air Courtage is still negotiating with the other breakage insurers (Aviabel, Allianz, la Réunion Aérienne...). Their conditions still vary, and each case will be handled individually...

Further information will be sent to you as soon as possible.

Let us protect our health by staying at home, and protect the health of our clubs and schools by helping them through this difficult time!
