Informal appeal against the order closing the aerodrome at Sallanches

Informal appeal against the order closing the aerodrome at Sallanches

Federation news7 August 20201 min read

News item of 7 August 2020. It has not been updated since it was published: some information may have changed. Latest news

Following the order closing Sallanches aerodrome, issued on 24 July 2020, the Conseil National des Fédérations Aéronautiques et Sportives (CNFAS), the Comité de Sauvegarde de Développement de l'Aérodrome de Sallanches (CSDAS) and the Club Aéronautique de Sallanches are lodging an informal appeal against this decision. Besides the legal weakness of the municipality's actions, and perhaps of the authorities', it is clear that the importance of this aerodrome for flight safety in a very particular region has not been taken into account. It would therefore be wise for the authorities to take the time to reconsider this decision. For the federations and all those involved, the aim is to find compromise solutions based on everyone's interests, using the right arguments and in full transparency.
