Despite the COVID-19 crisis, flying hours are taking off at the ASPTT “Côte de Nacre” aero club at CAEN-CARPIQUET – LFRK.
More than 200 hours have been flown since the start of 2021 aboard the club's only microlight, an 80 hp Aéroprakt A22L2. This machine is equipped to take able-bodied pilots and student pilots as well as those with a physical disability.

Thanks to the energy of its two instructors, Bernard ROBVEILLE and Dominique PEN, the club welcomes and trains a variety of people: young people under 15, women, people with physical disabilities and retirees. The club shows that aviation, and microlighting in particular, is accessible to all, which is the ASPTT motto after all: a sports association for everyone.

To cope with the vagaries of the Normandy climate, the club provides its members and visitors with a latest-generation flight simulator (FS2020). To cover a wider range of aeronautical activities, five active members are restoring a PIPER L4; it is now only a matter of days before the PIPER makes its first “wing beats”.
