STOL goes green

Federation news16 June 20211 min read

News from 16 June 2021. It has not been updated since it was published: some information may have changed. Latest news

Sustainable development is defined as a mode of development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. It is a principle that acts on three interdependent dimensions:

  • Environmental:
  • Social:
  • Economic:

Following on from the “21 Agenda of the French sports movement”, the Roland-ULM association wishes to mobilise its members and, beyond them, all STOL stakeholders to join in around 4 major objectives, each of which is a commitment to an ecologically, socially and economically responsible and sustainable STOL.

1: Preserving natural resources

2: Waste management

3: Ethical purchasing and eco-responsible communication

4: Developing STOL activity

The STOL competition will take place on 3 & 4 July 2021 at Belmont St Affrique

It is in this context that the town of Belmont sur Rance, the Monts, Rance et Rougier community of communes and the association that runs the STOL competition at BELMONT have signed a sustainable development charter with strong commitments that will be continued at future events.

There is no doubt that this approach is part of what will become a necessary step for practising our aeronautical activities in every club in France.

Relive the 2020 edition of the STOL at Belmont!
