Air-Sea Camp renewed in 2022!

In 2020, on the Quiberon Peninsula, the French Microlight Federation and the French Navy concluded an agreement that was historic for both organisations. Under this partnership, 12 young members spent a week at the Lanvéoc-Poulmic Naval Air Base in Brittany.
This partnership targets young people, so that the Navy’s young people, who are oriented towards naval aviation, can broaden their aeronautical culture through the diversity and novelty of microlight flying. And so that the young people of our Federation can share the experience of the sailors of the sky.
The camp ran from 5 to 9 July 2021 at the École Navale and at the Lanvéoc-Poulmic Naval Air Base in the Brest roads. Our 12 young members (6 boys and 6 girls aged between 18 and 25) had a full and highly instructive week:
- A sailing trip and a night at sea
- Sport and team-building
- Talks on the different Navy careers, meetings with officer cadets and military personnel (from seaman to admiral) and their accounts of their experience.
- Flight and navigation simulator, flight in an SR20 and in Navy Caïman helicopters.
- Microlight flights.

Are you a Federation member, aged between 18 and 25 at the time of the Air-Sea Camp, and interested in the 2022 Air-Sea Camp? Send your application (aeronautical CV and covering letter) now to ffplum@ffplum.org, with the subject “Air-Sea Camp 2022”.
