News from 8 March 2022. Last updated on 18 March 2022: some information may have changed. Latest news

The two associations based at Mondreville, Voltaire (pilot and instructor training centre) and La Rose des Vents (microlight pilots’ association), joined forces to organise the first training and refresher course.

These courses, led by an instructor, will be held every three months. They are open to experienced pilots and student pilots alike.

On 19 February 2022, led by Didier THOMAS (instructor at Voltaire and pilot at La Rose des Vents) with the help of Franck BRUYERE (pilot at La Rose des Vents), about fifteen participants exchanged ideas and worked on a subject that always raises many questions: navigation.

On the programme:

  • Sharing the theory needed for navigation – a proposed method for preparing a cross-country flight.
  • Navigating safely:
    • Good preparation
    • Using GPS?
    • Human factors
  • Putting it into practice: everyone prepared a navigation exercise using the proposed method

The working day ended with a friendly time together at the restaurant.

Now we are better equipped, and we will be able to visit our neighbouring friends, near and far… so get ready to welcome us!

See you soon,
