STOL competitions began in 2020 at Belmont-sur-Rance aerodrome, and the discipline is growing fast.

Through our club, the FFPLUM is organising the French STOL championship on the first weekend of July at Belmont-sur-Rance aerodrome, to introduce as many people as possible to this new way of looking at aviation, where speed and altitude are not performance factors.

This year, we are welcoming several foreign pilots in order to prepare for exporting our discipline across Europe. Perhaps a European championship will emerge in the coming years.

In addition, our association wishes to get involved with people with disabilities through several activities introducing our discipline, enabling them to take part and to play a role in our organisation.

To this end, we are welcoming the association "Les Citoyens Du Ciel" LCDC into our organisation; you will find them in the exhibitors' area.

The French Microlight Federation -FFPLUM- is a sports federation. The expert advice of the National Technical Adviser –CTN- and the logistical support of the Occitanie Regional Microlight Committee –CRULMO- guarantee a flawless organisation, for maximum safety in a discipline practised to the highest standards.

Welcome to the French STOL Championship where the whole team of volunteers will look after you throughout the weekend. I thank them wholeheartedly, because without them there would be no air event.
