Ussel, facing Le Puy
Wednesday 27 July, evening
This stage summary will be short because the delay in this morning's take-offs carried over the whole day and the last machines landed at about 8pm. We are at Ussel, facing the Puy-de-Sancy, in ideal conditions, a little cool perhaps, but with superb light. The runway opens onto an absolutely fabulous flying playground. Auvergne in all its splendour. Some machines took the time to fly over the Monts du Cantal and play with the terrain. We will hold a catch-up session tomorrow morning.
Still no incident or breakage, the mood is good. This evening Bernard Chabbert and Eve Cetera joined us and we will make a fine film about the Tour with Aerostar.tv. Tonight it is the minimum service. The weather is fine tomorrow with possible slight delays. Take-offs around 10am. We are waiting for the singing in the big hangar at Ussel, it is past midnight.

The hunting horns are multiplying

the pictures are lovely, I heard the hunting horns yesterday, it's not St Hubert's day yet, the season opens in September ...
I say to all the teams that they deserve credit for organising the Tour de France by microlight, well done everyone..
I say to all the pilots, have good flights and be careful....
