A new take-off!

2021 season1 May 20212 min read

A team strengthened with a range of skills was elected to the Board of Directors of your Federation at the General Assembly of 14 March. With the meeting held by videoconference and very strong participation from affiliated clubs and schools, we can already consider a mixed "in person + video" solution for future General Assemblies.

Many objectives await the Board of Directors team, including establishing a "clubs" policy with a view to energising club life. Strengthening the Federation's support and guidance for its affiliated clubs will be priority subjects for the Board of Directors and the National Technical Directorate, as the ANS (Agence Nationale du Sport) is put in place. Several new developments are "under construction" and we will return to these subjects regularly in future issues of your ULM INFO magazine. Indeed, from this issue no. 115, each club will receive a copy of the magazine to make available to its members.

We also take this opportunity to let you know that a new "communication" momentum is being established, notably with a change to the publication calendar of your magazine. From now on ULM INFO will be published in January, April, July and October, and new sections will enrich your magazine, always with the aim of being in direct contact with your Regional Committees and clubs. This teamwork will also allow interaction between the ULM INFO magazine and the various online channels, with the sole aim of having clear and consistent communication. Thus the Board of Directors has decided to make the newsletter (sent by email to members) monthly in order to circulate priority and urgent information, while the federal ULM INFO magazine will present more in-depth content without neglecting sports news.

A new take-off!

With this April 2021 issue no. 115, a few first changes: the new cover of your magazine, a more open contents page to help you find the subjects that interest you most, varied articles ranging from flight safety to the new video on the FFPLUM YouTube channel, not forgetting your Federation's 40th anniversary, and above all the calendar of upcoming events, including the French Championships at Mondreville in July and the 40th edition of the Microlight World Show, which will take place in Blois on 3, 4 and 5 September.

ULM INFO is above all the magazine of the microlight federation, 6 classes of fun and freedom.

Happy flying to you all.
