Occitanie - 7 March 2020

This weekend, the Occitanie Regional Committee held its General Assembly at the CROS premises in Toulouse, Balma. Bruno Rascalou ran his GA briskly, surrounded by Gérard Halluin, Charlaine Papet, Mathieu Farcy and our CTN, Mohamed Azzouni.
Despite a rather worrying health situation, nearly fifty representatives of clubs and schools were present. Beyond the 2019 reports, we took the time for a very constructive exchange on all the subjects of federal policy.
Claude Monfort and Roland Andral presented, respectively, upcoming events in 2020: the Paramotor Championships and the S.T.O.L. Competition.
A friendly feast rounded off our day!
Pays de Loire - 22 February 2020
Nouvelle Aquitaine - 1 February 2020

On 1st February 2020, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Microlight Committee held its ordinary General Assembly to present to all our members the report on the actions carried out in the region in 2019.
At this General Assembly, the president reminded all our members that the Committee was there for them and with them, and that the elected officials were at their service. He recalled that the board has set up a website and a newsletter to keep them informed throughout the year of events held for them so as to involve as many members as possible, and has also put in place actions to bring in new members, with reduced-price activities for young people, women and people with disabilities. The president also gave a summary of the new arrangements for grants.
The promised changes now apply:
The CNDS has disappeared, replaced by the Agence Nationale du Sport, which is in charge of distributing grants that will no longer be regional but national and paid to the Federations, which must then distribute them to the Regional Committees according to the actions to be carried out in line with federal policy. Our region takes part in the meetings that will be held to draw up these applications at federal level.
For Nouvelle-Aquitaine, it is essential to keep building links between members through clubs and OBLs, because difficulties and uncertainties remain on a number of points:
- Preserving airspace
- Setting up the training and renewal arrangements for instructors
- Availability of instructors, particularly in rural areas
- Arbitrary action by supervisory authorities
- In addition, we must keep up the effort on flight safety: every accident is one too many.
- In the face of uncertainty, unity must be preserved and strengthened more than ever.
It is important that we can host the BIA, whose numbers are constantly rising, within an effective framework of club management across the region.
Our target of 2000 members in Nouvelle-Aquitaine is about to be reached, which shows the vitality of our movement. Each and every one of us must safeguard it. Tools for exchange and information are at your disposal: an individual letter to each member published every two months, as well as the CRULMNA website and the federal website. The information is circulating; it is up to each person to make use of it.
The Regional Committee is the essential driver of the unity of the microlight movement, and its actions depend on its means. If grants are limited, the will of the elected members of the Board of Directors is not.
Presentation of the 2020 actions.
At this assembly, we were able to discuss with members the future of the theory exam organised in 2021.
At present, only the Federation will be authorised to set up theory exam centres. This must be in place by 1st January 2021 and there will be about 50 centres across France.
- Pierre-Henri Lopez passed on the greetings of President Sébastien Perrot, who could not be with us today.
He told us that the federation is active and working very hard to gain recognition from our authorities. These efforts are bearing fruit with the appointment of a national technical director on 1st March.
We also gave a reminder about good practice through the REV, and about the DGAC grant for changing to a 8.33 radio, which has been very little taken up so far.
The St-Junien club gave us a lessons-learned presentation on the tragedy they went through at the end of the year, with a fatal accident on their airfield involving 2 members of their club.
The assembly then ended with an aperitif at the Maison des Sports in Talence.
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Microlight Committee wishes you all very happy and safe flying.

Bourgogne Franche-Comté - 11 January 2020

Jean-Pierre CAUMONT, president of the Bourgogne Franche Comté Regional Microlight Committee, held the general assembly in the village hall of the town where it is based, Pouilly-en-Auxois (21). 30 clubs and schools were present or represented, some travelling more than two hours.
Francis BERTHELET, secretary of FFPLUM, was present.
This is the committee's third year of operation and its work is starting to run smoothly. It was present at about 15 microlight aeronautical events, general assemblies and open days, not forgetting representation on the CCRAGALS NE. The Regional Committee organised an instructors' meeting for the second time, for which President Sébastien PERROT made a special trip. Several training meetings were also organised, with flight safety as the central theme. A second round of awareness-raising flights took place successfully.
Since 2017, the Regional Committee has recorded a steady increase in its licensed pilots, of around 3%.
Once the balanced accounts had been approved by vote, the meeting continued with a presentation of the insurance solutions offered by FFPLUM through Air Courtage, followed by a round table on this theme.
