Covid-19 press release: moving to stage 3
Sunday 15 March 2020
The move to stage 3 of the Covid-19 pandemic, triggered yesterday, greatly amplifies the constraints imposed on everyone. The instructions applying to our activities are clear:
“No gatherings are allowed any more, which means that the rule of a maximum of 100 people is no longer in force.
- Sporting activities that welcome groups are no longer allowed.
- The activities of physical and sports establishments, including gyms, must therefore stop.
- Contact must absolutely be limited.”
In practice this means that trial flights, or any activity welcoming the public, carried out by clubs or by affiliated companies are no longer possible.
As for individual flights in a private setting, that is each person’s own responsibility, it being understood that the rescue chain is already under heavy strain.
The Federation has set up Covid-19 monitoring at head office to help with the difficulties this exceptional crisis causes, starting now. It covers three areas:
- Monitoring the calendar of sporting events in a context of cancellations.
- Monitoring club life.
- Monitoring affiliated companies.
The economic effects must be assessed starting now. You can contact head office by telephone from Monday or by e-mail right away (subject: “FFPLUM Covid monitoring”.
We will communicate as soon as we have new information that directly affects our activity.
The priority is everyone’s health.
