In the Haut Comminges, in the west of Haute-Garonne, a stone's throw from the Hautes-Pyrénées and facing the highest peaks, the CORPPO is offering this 1st 4-day paramotor pilots' gathering for about thirty pilots.
The brand-new Paramotor Base of Michel, our Vice President, is ideally placed for flights over the plain and towards the highest Pyrenean peaks.
In the Luchon area, a great many peaks rise above 3000 metres and, just across the Spanish border, the Maladeta Massif, still snow-covered, surrounds the highest summit of the Pyrenees: the Pic d'Aneto.
The Pic du Midi de Bigorre is 36 km from the base.
There are no toilets at Michel's Paramotor Base.
To stay on the airfield, you will therefore need to be completely self-sufficient, in a motorhome.
In the village there are gîtes and the Baptistou campsite, perfectly equipped with a large common room for meals (with catering available on request). It will be possible to leave the machines under cover on the airfield.
The participation fee is a flat €15 per pilot and €5 per day of attendance.
Sunday 14 September is free and accompanying persons are welcomed free of charge for the whole gathering.
If the pilot cancels, the sums received will be kept by the association.
Thanks to your registrations, a sum will be paid to Michel to contribute to the development of his Paramotor Base.
On Friday or Saturday evening, we will invite all the pilots and companions to a buffet-style drinks reception, offered by the CORPPO.
We are currently looking for food trucks to provide some meals.
