Weight-shift & three-axis results ()
The 2023 edition of the French Classic Championship at Chambley ended on a friendly, sunny note, with plenty of new winners.
The shorter 2023 format, scheduled in spring, meant competitors had a programme of tasks right up to the last minute, which changed the running order and the time of the prize-giving.
This edition put women's sport in the spotlight, with 8 women on the podiums (4 PPG, 4 ML) and 4 women's national titles.
Here are the national titles awarded at this 2023 edition:
Foot-launched paramotor, Elite > 1st Cyril PLANTON - 2nd Romain MAUBAN - 3rd François JAILLET
Foot-launched paramotor, Hopefuls > 1st Nicolas PERRON (Nicolas represented by Morgane) - 2nd T. S. - 3rd Max AYGALENC
Single-seat paramotor trike > 1st Glenn MICHELLAND - 2nd Frederic MALLARD - 3rd Christophe GLORIANT (Christophe represented by Fabrice Breuzard)
Two-seat paramotor trike > 1st Thibaut LAINE & Sandra MOREELS - 2nd Jérémy PENONE & Armel SEGOND - 3rd Cyril PASQUIER & Sylvain MALENGROT
Single-seat weight-shift > 1st Lison REBOUILLAT - 2nd Davide RONGEAT - 3rd Pierre LEGRENEUR
Two-seat weight-shift > 1st Patricia BÉ & Émilie PAPERIN - 2nd Patrick LEROI & Solène BERGEVIN - 3rd Mathieu CHAMPON & Cyril JACQUIN
Single-seat three-axis > 1st Thomas JORON - 2nd Martin DE MURCIA - 3rd Mélanie BIARNAIS
Two-seat three-axis > 1st Louis-Marie SEJEAU & Adrien MICOUREAU - 2nd Bastien MOURIER & Julien VILLA - 3rd Gérald PEVILLER & Claude BARNICHE
Worth noting is the remarkable performance of our pilots, our many Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and British (12) pilot friends this year, and the participation of two-seat foot-launch pilots.
The 2023 champions will join the French squad for selection for international events; indeed, the French Slalom team will be flying out in a few days to Bornos in Spain.
The result of this competition is the fruit of the work of the competitors, the many volunteers from the local club ULM sports & loisirs de Chambley, the Grand Est regional committee, local partners, the aerodrome management and the Grand Est region, with the support of a federation and the local authorities, not forgetting the other players who have become indispensable in competitions at every level: the regional committees, clubs, squads and sports teams, brands and manufacturers.
The next national event is at Belmont sur Rance (Occitanie) for the French STOL Championship; the programme of regional competitions is also under way to welcome pilots and introduce them to competitive flying, which we will have the opportunity to describe in detail.
