“Handivol” meeting in Saint-Junien on 23 September 2023

News item of 22 August 2023. Last updated on 15 September 2023: some information may have changed. Latest news

The FFPLUM, in partnership with the Saint-Junien aero club and the association "Les Citoyens du Ciel", and with the support of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regional committees, is organising a gathering of pilots with disabilities at Saint-Junien aerodrome (87)

This event, which will take place on Saturday 23 September 2023, is aimed first and foremost at disabled pilots and student pilots flying microlights in clubs and schools in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions, as well as their instructors and the clubs and schools that run handivol activities (introductory flights, training) or want to set them up.

It is part of the Saint-Junien stopover of the charity tour "Les Ailes du Partage", organised by "Les Citoyens du Ciel" to let young people with disabilities and their families discover microlight flying.

The aim of this first gathering is to invite pilots and student pilots to meet at Saint-Junien aerodrome, to meet other pilots, disabled or not, to talk about their respective ways of flying and to show young people with disabilities that flying a microlight remains accessible to everyone, whatever the difficulties.

Crews are expected on the morning of Saturday 23 for presentations of adapted equipment and time to talk over a buffet served on site.

The return flight can be made in the afternoon or the next day (accommodation to be booked when registering)

For logistical reasons, the number of crews will be limited to 10.
