Regional Committees seminar - 25 and 26 November 2023

Looking back at the CRULM seminar
Once a year, the presidents of the Regional Committees meet to discuss how and by what means to boost microlighting in the regions.
All the regions were represented, either by their president or their vice-president (PACA and IdF), or by video link for the overseas territories (Guyane and Réunion). Each region could invite a member of its executive board.
The meeting was led by the Executive Board with the National Technical Directorate, as well as by the heads of several divisions (Youth, Club life, IT, Insurance…).
The seminar was held at the Maison du Handball in Créteil, which offers both a large meeting room with videoconferencing and on-site catering and accommodation.
Following the arrival of new staff at the federal headquarters, a new organisation chart was presented by Camille Ménard, administrative director.
Many subjects were raised and discussed over these two days:
- Reminder of the missions and challenges of the CRs (Regional Committees).
- Presentation of the funding available to the CRs.
- Reminder of how the ANS (Agence Nationale du Sport) works.
- Reminders on the regulations, and their changes and developments.
- Update on insurance and good practice, in particular the actions to take after an accident.
- Presentation by the Youth division of the "Parcours jeune plume" project.
- REX on the 1st Youth Microlight Tour (Tour ULM Jeunes) and presentation of the 2024 Youth Microlight Tour project.
- Presentation of the new mechanics days, with the federal framework to standardise how they run in the regions.
There were very constructive discussions on organising rallies in the regions and on flight safety days, with the flight safety officers (CSV) present by video link.
It was decided that all events organised by the Regional Committees will be shown on the federal calendar, to widen their visibility and also to ensure they are covered by insurance. Participants will register for these events in the member area of the federal software, which is the same area that lets everyone take out their annual licence. This will make registration very quick and simple, with no need to re-enter all your personal details and administrative documents (licences, insurance, yellow card…), and will keep us in line with GDPR rules.
Thank you to all the participants for this seminar, which was a great success thanks to everyone's commitment to the quality of the discussions and to the good humour present throughout these two days.
The 2024 meeting has also been set for 23 and 24 November.
Thank you all!
