Federation news28 November 20231 min read

Airspace

Where and when to use it:

WHERE:

This frequency must only be used in the approach and traffic pattern of a microlight strip, on a self-information basis.

WHEN:

3 minutes before arriving at a microlight strip, the pilot announces themselves on the frequency 125.335 (radio message in standard phraseology, as at any self-information aerodrome).

SPECIFICS OF USE:

This frequency may only be used

  • When taxiing (taxiway) on the microlight strip.
  • On take-off.
  • In the traffic pattern.
  • On landing.
  • This frequency is not intended for exchanges between pilots other than aeronautical information.
  • This frequency must not be used during navigation

A small clarification:

The frequency to use at aerodromes is the one shown on the VAC chart or, failing that, 123.500, including at private aerodromes.
