BIA INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT GRANTS
When applying for an introductory flight grant, you must send us the agreements between your club or school and the educational establishment at the start of the school year. However, you must have one agreement per establishment.
In addition, you must enclose all the parental consent forms for pupils who are minors, together with the list of all participating pupils.
Once the flights have been made, you must complete the file by sending us the following documents:
- The date of the flights.
- The instructor's or instructors' certificate.
- The current year's third-party liability insurance certificate for the instructor or for your club or school.
- The identification sheet(s) and card(s) of the aircraft used.
- An invoice for the number of flights made multiplied by €40.
As a reminder: BIA
A grant of €40 per flight is given to affiliated clubs and schools (capped at 40 flights per club or school), allowing National Education pupils enrolled in the BIA option to make an introductory flight. All aircraft used must be fitted with a rescue parachute, as stipulated in article 4 of the agreement: "All introductory flights will be made in aircraft properly maintained by their owner or the person in charge of them. They will be fitted with a rescue parachute."
