Chocolates fall from the sky at Chambley!

The children of the Chambley airfield and the surrounding villages had an important appointment last Monday: the now traditional egg drop from "la poulette" (the nickname given to the aircraft of the club's president). 130 children were expected, but given weather that could hardly have been worse, not all of them came.

Many of the children there, and their parents, waited in the rain for their favourite fowl to fly past. Fortunately, it was not chocolate eggs that fell from the sky but plastic ones, each of which entitled the finder... to a chocolate hen!

This third edition shows once again how attached local residents are to the events organised by the Chambley club. This contributes greatly to living together, which is missing in many other places. This attachment even extends beyond the neighbouring villages because, by word of mouth, some parents travelled up to 40 km to take part in this drop with their children.

Next event in December, to see Father Christmas arrive by air!
