This year, at the 51st edition of the spectacular La Ferté-Alais air show, ten paramotor pilots opened the show with a formation flight on Saturday and Sunday. It was a historic moment, because it was the first time that paramotors had opened this prestigious show. Combining grace and elegance, these pilots captivated the audience with their precise and harmonious manoeuvres.
Two of the pilots had a banner attached to their foot, performing graceful movements in the sky that amazed the spectators. The high point of the display was the pass of an electric machine, flown with elegance by an experienced pilot. This mastery of the air made for an unforgettable show, marking an important step in the evolution of paramotor performance.
On Saturday, we had the honour of the presence of Léon Mouraud, one of the inventors of the paramotor in France in the 80s. His presence added a historical dimension to the event, recalling the evolution and progress made in this field since its beginnings.
On Sunday, the pilots had to cope with difficult weather conditions, but they managed to complete their flights brilliantly, impressing the public even more with their skill and determination.
At the end of the day, some pilots had the pleasure of having a photo taken with the Patrouille de France (PAF), strengthening the ties between the different aviation disciplines and adding a memorable souvenir for these enthusiasts.
The public was won over by this unprecedented opening and by all the performances presented throughout the weekend.
For those who would like to see this formation flight, the next opportunity will be at MULM from 13 to 15 September!
The La Ferté-Alais air show continues to surprise and delight aviation enthusiasts with its spectacular displays and performances.
Congratulations to the paramotor pilots!
