Passing of Colonel Didier Limet

Federation news12 August 20241 min read

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of Colonel Didier Limet and his passenger during a training flight this Sunday, 11 August.
Didier Limet was universally appreciated for his great human qualities, his competence, his rigour and his commitment.
He excelled both professionally, as an officer in the Air and Space Gendarmerie, and as a passionate microlight pilot, three-axis and gyroplane instructor, club president and major figure in the life of the federation, at both regional and national level. He was a tireless ambassador and defender of our sport.
We wish to express our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones, and to those of his passenger.
The federation stands alongside the Haguenau club in this terrible event, and we also wish to convey to all his fellow Gendarmes our sincere affection for the work Didier carried out in the service of the public interest.
