First CRULM seminar on 5 and 6 April 2025

Under a beautiful sun, the presidents of the regional microlight committees and the Board of Directors of the French Microlight Federation met last weekend near the federal headquarters.
The aim of this seminar is to support the new presidents of the Regional Microlight Committees in their roles, introduce the new federal team and allow the committees to discuss practical, on-the-ground topics.
The session was opened by Christian Santini, president of FFPLUM, who outlined the main lines of the Horizon 2028 term. The various divisions were then presented by the elected officials responsible (Didier Marie, Alain Réveillon and Fabrice Depardieu) and the National Technical Directorate spoke to present its missions.
Saturday afternoon was devoted to round tables on 5 themes:
- Training,
- Flight safety,
- Competition,
- Mechanics courses,
- Inclusive actions.

Saturday ended with a group discussion of the findings and proposals from the five round tables, giving everyone the chance to compare their practices and enrich the discussion. An outline of Sunday’s programme was presented, inviting participants to develop the ideas raised so as to move on to concrete, practical proposals the next day.
Sunday morning was devoted to turning the previous day’s thinking into concrete form, while our elected official and federal doctor, Jacques Ayoub, presented his committee and stressed the importance of personal reflection on one’s own health as a pilot. Mathieu Farcy, federal technical adviser, then presented the IULM order, now being finalised.
The day ended with a period of open discussion on the prospects that emerged over the weekend. The committees expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the work, the richness of the exchanges, and the shared will to move forward together on the structuring projects of the Horizon 2028 term.
Christian Santini thanked all the participants for their commitment and recalled that the common thread remains support for clubs and pilots, in a federation that is clearer, more accessible and ever more active on the ground.
