The Normandy Regional Microlight Committee is organising a Safety meeting on 27 October 2018 at Caen-Carpiquet airport: only 5 days left to register.

27 October 2018, Caen-Carpiquet airport.

Following the success of the first meeting held in the former Haute-Normandie, the Normandy Regional Microlight Committee is repeating the exercise and, as promised, organising its second Safety meeting, in the former Basse-Normandie.

To develop our safety culture, we warmly invite you to attend this Safety meeting, which will be presented by Laurent Kerbrat, our new Flight Safety Officer (CSV). Laurent Kerbrat will share his wide experience of aviation:

Safety meeting in Caen on 27/10
  • Professional military pilot of transport and combat helicopters (9 000 flying hours);
  • Trainee flight safety officer in the ALAT (Army Light Aviation);
  • Direct contact with the ALAT Command's Flight Safety Bureau;
  • Head of the SAMU 28 helicopter base in Dreux;
  • Commercial transport pilot for emergency medical helicopter rescue (10 535 helicopter flying hours):
  • Private aeroplane pilot, holder of an aircraft maintenance licence.

These are a few lines from the CV of Laurent Kerbrat, now your Flight Safety Officer within our Regional Committee. He has been strongly committed for many years to the concept of just culture in the French SMS (Safety Management System), to experience feedback and to taking the human factor into account.

Laurent will be a great support for Christian Maillard and Alain Delaunay, who are also Flight Safety Officers for our Regional Committee.
