At the FFPLUM, as in all sports federations with delegated authority, access to competition is a signposted pathway designed to support participants in their progress and in the best possible conditions.

From a taster session to competition at the club, through accessible regional events and then the step up to national competition, this is the path of athletes who are progressing or aiming for excellence.

The recent recognition of slalom as a high-level sport is a new experience for everyone, helping to improve the pathway and the detection of talent in all three disciplines.

The competitors

Competitors spotted along this pathway may, subject to approval by the National Technical Director, join the France Squad. The France Squad is a genuine pool of future talent and also a place to progress, and it is the essential step towards selection for the French Team.

High-level

High-level status

High-level sport represents sporting excellence. It is recognised by various laws and regulations and by the high-level sport charter, which enshrines the exemplary conduct expected of high-level athletes.

High-level sport rests on well-established criteria, which are:
- Recognition of the high-level status of sporting disciplines (slalom for the time being)
- Federal performance projects (PPF).
- Reference competitions (World Championships, European Championships, ...)
- The list of high-level athletes

The ministerial lists fall into three main categories:

- high-level athletes in the “Relève”, “Senior”, “Elite” or “Reconversion” categories

- athletes in National Squads

  • promising athletes (espoirs)

Only athletes listed as “high-level” can benefit from individual rights and in particular support from the ANS and the FFPLUM.

I am listed and I want a certificate: I go to PSQS (the athlete's daily monitoring portal). Username (surname.first name)
