Regional Competitions

Sport2 October 20191 min read

Open to all, beginners and experienced pilots alike, held over 1 to 2 days. The range of events is adapted to the level of the participants. These gatherings are organised by the Regional Committees and are intended to encourage a first taste of competition. This is when the role of the more experienced pilots is very important, and it concerns all of us to guide newcomers and set an example. The aims are:

  1. To get to know, understand and respect one another across the different classes
  2. Holding more of these events gives a great many people the chance to meet us and opens our activity up to a wide public. Being close to home will let us meet local authorities, build a favourable dialogue and communicate better with the media.
  3. To spot and recruit competitors and help them represent our regions at national level.

The events are very simple. A friendly atmosphere is a must, without forgetting safety. They are manoeuvrability, landing precision and navigation events.
