The Prime Minister's announcements to the National Assembly on Tuesday 28 April clarify the framework for the very gradual easing of lockdown from 11 May. In particular, we note:
- The status quo is maintained until 11 May.
- A distinction between green and red départements that is updated daily, the first version of which we have known since Thursday evening (provisional orange département).
- Travel exemption certificates are abolished, but travel beyond 100 km is limited, other than for work or compelling family reasons.
- A ban on team sports, indoor sports and contact sports.
- A ban on gatherings of more than 10 people.
Based on these points, and subject to their being changed (notably on 7 May), the Federation recommends:
- In green départements: flights are possible (single-seat, two-seat, leisure, introductory flights, instruction), essentially locally, without exceeding a distance of 100 km (from the home address, on which any check would be based), and without entering a red département.
- In red départements, given the strain on the emergency services: no flying.
- In all cases, travel to clubs and affiliated companies will be possible in strict compliance with the health instructions that we have adapted to our activity in the document "FFPLUM Covid-19 measures ", which you can display on the premises.
As regards the validation of instructor refresher training, we have obtained assurance that it will be postponed until 31 December 2020. A first text will appear next week for flight crew licences, which will only concern aeroplanes and helicopters. The texts concerning gliders and microlights will appear later...

As for airfields that are currently closed, there is no reason for them to remain so in the green zone, at least from 11 May.
We will give another full update on Friday 8 May, as every week. This is only a first framework, which may change, and everyone must be aware of how fragile the situation is.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
