The Dominique Méreuze Prize is a competition launched by the FFPLUM young pilots' committee and set up in collaboration with the DGAC, represented by Evelyne Gogneau, and Yvette Méreuze (Dominique Méreuze's wife). This third edition was open to young members only. Its aim is to reward entries by young people in the microlight world, promote microlighting to other young people and honour the memory of Dominique Méreuze (a notable figure of the microlight world and a former president of the FFPLUM).
The 2020 edition of the Dominique Méreuze Prize rewarded 3 young pilots this year. This year's entries were of very high quality, and we thank all the participants for their motivation. The young pilots' committee congratulates this year's 3 winners and sends them its best wishes for their projects
🥇 Victor Guillochon
Victor Guillauchon won this Dominique Méreuze Prize! Victor is 15 and is still a student pilot on three-axis microlights at the Aéro-Club Passion-Liberté based at Assé le Riboul in the Sarthe. A fan of scooters but above all of aviation, he started out by discovering model aircraft at the age of 10, which gave him a first foot in the world of aviation. It was at La Ferté-Alais and then at the Blois show that Victor discovered microlighting more fully. He likes spending time at his flying club, where there is always something to do!

🥈 Corentin Lardet
Behind Victor's excellent comic strip, we find Corentin, who came second! Only just of age, Corentin holds a three-axis pilot certificate at Pizay Aerodrome! Very sporty, playing handball and mountain biking, he discovered microlighting a few years ago by taking his BIA at his lycée. After getting his certificate, he is discovering the simple pleasures of solo flying while waiting to take his passenger-carrying rating. For Corentin, microlighting is a source of pleasure, learning and indescribable freedom!

A student pilot on three-axis microlights, Alexandre has many hobbies, such as guitar and badminton. A passionate aviator, he has also taken his BIA. Living in the Paris region, Alexandre does not hesitate to spend a few afternoons a month at head office as a volunteer.
