Originally planned for May, the fourth paramotor pilots' meeting took place from 11 to 19 July and was organised by the Club d'An'Air ULM-Aéromodélisme.

Ideally located, the microlight strip in the village of Anères, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, lets you experience both flying over the plain, on the Pyrenean foothills, and flights at more than 3 000 metres altitude.

The week of flying was organised around this very comfortable, tree-lined site for some sixty pilots and their companions, who came from all over France. Conviviality, exchange and sharing were the order of the day, over our regional produce among other things.

The very favourable weather made it possible to fly every day, and there were more than 250 take-offs and almost thirty flights towards the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. There were no incidents, thanks to the work of the runway marshals and to all the pilots' compliance with the safety instructions in place.

Jean-Emile OULHA and Jérémy PENONE, two pilots from the French team, were there and treated us to a few demonstrations.

Bruno RASCALOU, President of the Occitanie Microlight Committee, honoured us with his presence.

Julien HEYL was also there and presented the trophies of the CFDM (Coupe Française de Distance en paraMoteur, French Paramotor Distance Cup) to a good ten pilots.

We welcomed a group of about twenty teenagers from the Amicale laïque de Barousse, who came to see and understand what paramotoring is. We are almost certain that a few of them will join the club before long.

Another week that will stay in the memory of everyone who took part in this meeting in the Pyrenees.

The whole Club d'An'Air team invites you to join them at the end of August for another week of flying, from 22 to 30 August!
